We are now taking applicants for our spring session of the Youth Stewardship & Professional Skills Program. Through the YSP Program, Hamilton high school students develop transferable professional skills, earn volunteer hours, and gain knowledge of environmental issues. We include workshops for skills such as professional email writing, interviewing, and public speaking among a host of others. Guest speakers in the environmental field are also invited to share their expertise and take questions from participants. This sessions theme is Equity and Inclusion in Environmentalism. As part of this program, we offer mentorship and mini-grants for students to develop hands-on action projects that address the chosen environmental issue, directly benefiting their local communities and the planet. Participants collaborate to design and implement these projects, putting their new environmental knowledge and professional skills into practice and making a meaningful difference in their communities.

Program (Newcomer Students' Endeavours to Succeed and Thrive) A after-school program that supports newcomer children and youth through academic, social, and recreational activities. During summertime, we run the program every Tuesday from 9 AM to 12 PM at 573 Concession St., Hamilton ON.

Academic mentors and program facilitators needed to help run the N.E.S.T. Program (Newcomer students' Endeavours to Succeed and Thrive). This is an after-school program that supports newcomer children and youth through academic, social, and recreational activities. This program is delivered every Tuesday, from 3 pm to 6 pm at our 573 Concession St., Hamilton ON location. For academic mentors, we are looking for volunteers who can help with schoolwork in Math, English, Science , and language training to help them learn and improve their English. For program facilitators, we are looking for volunteers who can help facilitate social and recreational sessions (sports, arts & crafts, music & dance, computer/coding, etc).
