Each month, Regina Mundi Catholic Elementary School holds a student-led liturgy and awards ceremony, where teachers present awards based on the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations. Parents and guardians are invited to participate, reinforcing the partnership between Home, School, and Parish.
The school’s mission is to support students in embodying the Catholic Graduate Expectations, which encourage them to develop into:
Discerning Believers, rooted in the Catholic community – "I am a Believer!"
Effective Communicators – "I have a voice!"
Reflective and Creative Thinkers – "I have ideas!"
Self-Directed, Responsible, Life-Long Learners – "I am a learner for life!"
Collaborative Contributors – "I am a team player!"
Caring Family Members – "I care!"
Responsible Citizens – "I have responsibilities!"
At a recent event, alumnus Anthony Frisina, a 1993 graduate, delivered a talk on inclusion, emphasizing that everyone belongs. The Gospel reading from Matthew encouraged faith and the Golden Rule: "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
The school regularly celebrates at Regina Mundi Church, strengthening its faith community. With a proud 64-year history, Regina Mundi continues to foster students' growth in responsibility, mastery, and service, guided by the intercession of Saint Mary, Regina Mundi.
