On May 23, 2025, Canadian Martyrs' Catholic Elementary School hosted its seventh annual Mental Wellbeing Fair. The event aimed to support student learning around mental health by introducing a range of strategies to promote emotional, spiritual and physical well-being.

The day began with Opening Ceremonies in the gymnasium, led by members of the Health Action Team. The ceremony featured a special blessing from Father Gregory and a prayer liturgy centered on the theme of well-being.

Following the assembly, students were organized into mixed-grade friendship teams and participated in a series of wellness-themed stations throughout the school.

“This year’s stations focused on Wellness through Prayer, Art, Relaxation, Books, Music, Movement, and Indigenous Traditions, offering students a well-rounded experience of wellness practices,” said Principal Darren Fletcher.

The day concluded with Closing Ceremonies, which included a final prayer and time for reflection.

“Students thoroughly enjoyed the day, and excitement was experienced by everyone. The hope is students go home and share their experiences with their families as these strategies benefit everyone.”

“Thank you to Mrs. Traina, Mrs. Franck, and many other staff members for their instrumental organization of another successful Well Being Fair.”
