We hope you and your families had a relaxing and enjoyable summer.
We would like to recognize and thank all of our staff who worked hard throughout the summer months to prepare our Catholic Schools for the upcoming school year.
A number of central and other staff developed resources in alignment with changes in curriculum released by the Ministry of Education. Other Administrative Staff supported the Board of Trustees with revising policies consistent with government regulations introduced last spring and over the summer. Among these recently approved policies are additional requirements/restrictions regarding Personal Mobile Devices (cell phones), Codes of Conduct, and Anti-Vaping and Anti-Smoking initiatives.
Our Facilities Department and Maintenance Staff worked diligently throughout the summer to ensure our schools are clean, safe, and ready for the year ahead. We express our appreciation to them and all custodial staff for their tireless efforts in preparing schools for the return of students and staff.
This year’s Catholic Education Week theme, “Catholic Education: Pilgrims of Hope” speaks clearly to the Christ-centered purpose of Catholic education. It inspires all associated with this precious gift to continue to do all we can to “Place Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church at the centre” of students’ learning experiences.
Recognizing the central role that parents and guardians play in their child's faith and learning journey, we and our dedicated staff look forward to working with you, Catholic school councils, and Parish communities to create an enriching, faith-filled, and joyful school year. To better support you, we have introduced a Parent/Guardian Resource page on our website, designed to provide a centralized hub for valuable information and resources. We encourage you to stay informed about various activities and reports by regularly visiting our school and board websites and reviewing monthly system and school newsletters.
We pray that Our Lord Jesus Christ showers you and your families with all of his blessings and that the 2024-2025 School Year is filled with hope and promise.
Yours very truly,
Patrick J. Daly, Chairperson of the Board
David Hansen, Director of Education
